Is there a quota limit for the Quality Migrant Admission Scheme?
Since 2023, the Hong Kong Quality Migrant Admission Scheme has removed its annual quota cap for a two-year period. This means approvals are no longer limited by quotas, but applicants must still meet the points assessment criteria and other requirements. This is a favorable time to apply for the scheme.
Do I need to reside in Hong Kong after my approval under the Quality Migrant Admission Scheme?
Approval under the Quality Migrant Admission Scheme grants you a Hong Kong Identity Card with no mandatory residency requirement. However, to apply for permanent residency later, you must meet the requirement of having ordinarily resided in Hong Kong continuously for 7 years.
